A summer recreation area located on 42 secluded acres, just 15 minutes from Scranton near the Elmhurst Country Club. Open daily from 11am-8pm Memorial Day to Labor Day. Swim in a clean, spring-fed mountain lake with a beautiful sandy beach. Safe swimming for children in a roped-off, buoy line area. Swimming at Lake Hideaway includes a diving board, a slide into the lake, a floating dock, and complete lifeguard coverage. Tubes and floats are allowed for more summertime water fun. Children love the sandy beach. The Snack Bar serves hot dogs, hamburgers,chicken fingers, fries, ice cream, candy, and more.
